Federal Investigation of Hunter Biden Heats Up

Looks like the Hunter Biden investigation is heating up.

We know that they were looking into his foreign connections, that a grand jury has been empaneled and has been interviewing people, that the grand jury even asked a witness about who the “big guy” was who was getting a percentage of Hunter Biden’s deal with his Chinese partners. Hint: it was Joe Biden, according to former Biden associate, Tony Bobulinski.

But now, it’s been revealed that federal authorities also subpoenaed the records in the paternity lawsuit against him, according to Clint Lancaster, the attorney who represented Lunden Roberts, the woman who had Hunter Biden’s child.

From CBS:

A December 2020 subpoena from the U.S. Attorney’s office in Delaware, obtained by CBS News, requested all documents “regarding [Hunter] Biden’s income, assets, debts, obligations, and financial transactions… and all personal and business expenditures.” The request specified January 2017 to the present.

The subpoena also requested a wide range of tax documents pertaining to Hunter Biden.

“All federal, state, local and foreign tax documentation related to Biden,” the subpoena reads, “including but not limited to, IRS Forms 1099, income and payroll tax returns, state tax returns, and amended tax returns.”

It would be very interesting to see if all the information filed by Hunter matches up and I wonder if that’s what they’re looking at, because one would have to assume that they already have his tax information if they’ve been looking into his taxes (among other things) for a while. So if he held anything back or stated anything wrong in the paternity case, he could be in for greater problems.

Lancaster told CBS News that in the fall of 2021, the Assistant U.S. Attorney in Delaware, Lesley Wolf, traveled to his Arkansas law office, joined by at least two federal agents, one from the FBI and the other an IRS enforcement agent. Lancaster said he and his client spent about half a day answering questions about Hunter Biden and his business practices.

Lancaster said that in the meeting, investigators asked for information about several companies affiliated with Hunter Biden, including Rosemont Seneca Partners, a firm where he worked for several years.

The line of questioning tracks with a separate 2019 federal subpoena from the U.S. Attorney’s office in Delaware. The subpoena, obtained by CBS News, sought “all records, documents, and accounts pertaining to all financial/banking transactions” between 15 business entities and Hunter Biden, the president’s brother James, as well as two business partners dating back to 2014, when Joe Biden was vice president.

Lancaster said that during the paternity suit Hunter Biden had supplied an “affidavit of financial means,” which detailed his finances through income statements and a breakdown of monthly expenses.

Lancaster also told CBS that his client has already testified to the grand jury in February. One has to imagine that isn’t going to be good for Hunter as well — that she likely has a ton of information that could potentially sink him and she might not hold back.

CBS cited former federal prosecutor Harry Litman: “The whole thing is as serious as a heart attack.” “People are going in and out of the grand jury. They are trying to plumb the depths. They’re playing hardball.” That sounds about right, given what we’re hearing so far. Can we cross our fingers here and hope that we might see real action? It’s under the control of a Trump-appointed U.S. Attorney who hasn’t been replaced so we just might see some real charges coming.

Meanwhile, other actions are underway as well. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) have been detailing Hunter Biden records on the floor of the Senate regarding the foreign connections. Judicial Watch has also been pursuing any State Department mentions of Hunter Biden through FOIA, but the Biden Administration has blown off responding, so now Judicial Watch is taking them to court.

The State Department did not reply to Judicial Watch’s Feb. 11 FOIA request, but did email saying it was invoking a 10-day extension because of “unusual circumstances.” However, as of April 15, the State Department had not complied with the FOIA request. Thus, the lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

“The State Department is unlawfully ignoring FOIA law to protect Hunter and Joe Biden,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton in a press release. “We have no doubt, given our prior finds, that the State Department has many secrets about Biden corruption.”

The net is tightening. If Hunter is charged then does he talk more about his father’s role? It sounds like he has a lot of issues with how his father has done things. That could step up the problems for Joe Biden.

We have an FBI? Where. To call for action from a Dem DOJ / FBI what a laugher! The FBI – Comey allowed Clinton to walk was the biggest laugh-on us!. The FBI had Hunter Biden’s lap top for over 2 years and sat on evidence that would be surely could have been used to indite him. Now that the Hunter Genie can’t be put back into the bottle does the FBI now start to investigate. Hmmm at the same time, Durham is about to begin prosecuting the great Russian collusion hoax. Hillary got away before-something tells me Durham has got her very nervous. She knows he’s closing in. Durham knows that a DEM DOJ will squash all this. So, he’ll throw some low hanging Clinton liar loyalists who are willing to sell their souls for 10 min of fame, but Durham will prosecute the low hanging fruit to keep the pressure on. Wait-Hillary will pull the Political Witch Hunt as she announces she intends to run for the WH in 2024. After 2024 when the DOJ and FBI flips back to Rep control-FBI Director Way is going to be the first to get yanked. Durham will then begin to take down the swamp down one dweller at a time. it will be a surprise to learn just how many RINO’s get exposed and their swamp skin shows. If the FBI would have just done their job, consider how history would be different today. How many lives were lost by their political culpability. I do respect the FBI but not their leadership.
